Origin
In the fable The Story of Caliph Stork, the word mutabor is the spell of transformation — a key that allows the protagonist to transcend his form and see the world anew. We believe organizations can be transformed by using their own spells: stories. Mutabor is Latin for 'I shall be transformed.' Our approach to real change is rooted in stories: policymaking, democracy, and rhetoric — everything starts with a compelling story.
Mission
We believe that true foresight is found through the study of today's stories and narratives. Not predicted — but anticipated. We use storytelling to engineer communications architecture across fields like nuclear disarmament research, climate security, digital human rights and algorithmic ethics.
